December 06, 2022

Light Ray Ventures is proud to announce its participation in Plant Prefab's recent Series C funding round, which raised $42 million to expand the company's capacity and increase multi-unit housing production. Gerdau Next Ventures led the round, with Light Ray Ventures contributing alongside Asahi Kasei, Brown Angel Group, and Unreasonable Collective.

The funding will enable Plant Prefab to complete the Tejon Ranch Hub, the nation's first sustainable, automated factory for both panelized and volumetric modular housing production. Dima Bovykin, Managing Partner at Light Ray Ventures, expressed enthusiasm for the company's progress: "We are excited to see Plant Prefab's continuous growth and commitment to sustainable housing solutions. The Tejon Ranch Hub will undoubtedly propel them further, revolutionizing the construction industry and addressing critical housing shortages across the Western U.S."

As an existing investor and active participant in the latest funding round, Light Ray Ventures remains committed to supporting Plant Prefab's mission and vision for a more sustainable future in housing. The Tejon Ranch Hub will play a pivotal role in addressing the nation's severe housing shortage, particularly in the Western U.S., by providing scalable, sustainable, and efficient housing solutions
